01When does Certavant launch?
We’re building Certavant and will announce launch when it’s ready — and the launch list hears first.
02What’s free, and how does pricing work?
CAI-1 “AI Foundations” is free, for everyone, always — a real, genuinely failable exam, not a participation badge, and the front door to the whole ladder. Credentials above it are paid; pricing will be published before launch.
03Who is this for?
Practitioners who use AI to do their jobs better — marketers, salespeople, support and success teams, HR and people ops, and analysts. We certify people who use AI to amplify their work, not people who build the models. Teams use Certavant to verify and develop that capability across a workforce.
04Do I need to be technical?
No. If your work is documents, data, decisions, and communication, this is built for you. The skill we certify is using AI well in a real role — no coding required.
05Which AI tools does it cover?
Certavant is vendor-neutral. We certify using AI well, not memorising one product’s interface, so the skills transfer across ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and Gemini. In the exam itself you work with the workspace’s sanctioned AI assistant.
06How can an exam allow AI — isn’t that cheating?
No — it’s the point. Everyone uses AI to do the actual job, so an exam that bans it tests a fantasy. We grade what separates good AI work from bad: how well you delegate, judge the output, and verify it. A fluent but wrong answer still fails a rubric checking whether the work is actually right. Using AI well is the test.
07How does grading work?
Two stages. An AI grader scores your work against a rubric published in advance. Then a named, qualified human examiner reviews the work and evidence and makes the final call on every credential — the AI recommends, a person decides. Every decision is logged, and any adverse one can be appealed to a fresh human re-grade.
08What do employers see?
A public verify page at cert.education/v/… showing the credential, its level and track, issue and expiry dates, current validity, and the actual graded work behind it. The holder controls the privacy of each evidence item: public, private employer-only link, or hidden.
09Do credentials expire?
Yes — on purpose. The tools and good practices move quickly. Every CAI credential carries an expiry, and renewal is a short, assessment-only refresh: you re-prove current skill rather than re-taking the whole course.
10I’m already experienced — do I have to take the course?
No. Take the challenge exam: the same graded, open-AI assessment without the coursework. Pass and you hold the same credential. An AI badge from another provider qualifies you to go straight to the challenge exam.
11We’re a team — how many seats do we need?
The team model is self-serve and starts small. Buy seats, invite your team, assign tracks with due dates, and track progress on a dashboard. Add seats as you grow and export your data anytime.
